Location of the Day: San Telmo

San Telmo is a beautiful district of the many that make Buenos Aires a great city, and one of the oldest.

It's the ideal place to explore and understand how life was when this city was just beginning.

Many of the houses, streets and squares you can see date back hundreds of years ago: Cobblestones, old conventillos and lanterns on the sidewalks.

Personally, I enjoy this neighborhood on sunny afternoons, right after lunch. The sun shines through the trees of the streets and sidewalks, while from time to time a car passes by the cobblestone streets, making a irregular rubber noise.

On Sundays, the Feria of San Telmo is an antiques fair which I really recommend to visit, to appreciate some of the traditional objects of nineteenth century Buenos Aires.
